Just finished the show where they make bread and have weird reactions.
I really want to watch Psycho Pass! I hope time will permit me to.

mushishi, i'm not feeling it though.
Finished ghost in the shell stand alone complex. What an awesome series - it's like if cowboy bebop was actually good.

I dunno, it's too slow paced for me, and I generally don't like the mystic genre. It felt really similar to a series called Mononoke which I also didn't like.
I decided to drop it after three episodes (it was just Ginko pulling slugs out of kids) and started watching True Tears, which I absolutely love. That is how romance drama is done - I've seen so many botched attempts like Kokoro Connect, why can't they all just do it like True Tears?

I was about to bury vylash but a review I found compared True Tears to air, so ranger's on his/her own.

Kokoro Connect is so bad though - it's literally forced drama (a weird alien-like creature puts kids in ridiculous scenarios). It doesn't help that all the characters in the series are terrible, except for Inaba. Taichi is a white knight f*cker, Iori is the biggest piece of shit I've ever seen in my life, Aoi, the other dude, is completely irrelevant to the story and he could have just died and the kokoro connect would be the same.. The other girl is really whiney.Vylash wrote: liking shit like true tears but not masterpieces like kokoro connect? ranger confirmed for the most hilariously shitty taste in drama i've ever seen
All the characters were just really bitchy and was like "boo hoo my life is so sad", when the problems they were facing were pretty stupid. The scenarios the characters were put in were so artificial, fake, and cheesy (turning into kids?). Meh. They tried to be all serious drama but in the end it was just headache inducing for me.
ERGO, Kokoro Connect is poop, except for Inaba. She's the only reason I finished the show.
I've never seen air, but I found True Tears to be similar to Clannad, except best girl wins. What makes True Tears so good IMO is that, there's no one time I was like "oh shit, she's definitely going to win the series". It kept me on the edge of my toes, every episode I thought the MC was going to get with the other female protagonist. It isn't like a typical romance story where you kinda know who exactly is going to win by episode 1 like Toradora.kkslider5552000 wrote: I was about to bury vylash but a review I found compared True Tears to air, so ranger's on his/her own.
It's also a somewhat realistic approach on an romance anime series, so I kinda of enjoyed that. Plus, that suffering - dead parents and having to move in to a family where the mother treats you like crap. It also has a Main character that isn't irritating or annoying. Plus, True Tears has an awesome animation style (PA Works) and some killer music.
Best girl wins + not so bad MC + good animation style + nice music + FEELS = good series.
I hiiiiighly recommend it, I hyping loved True Tears.
some musak from it:

Watched Serial Experiment Lain. ... I think I understand half of it...
Then watched Jojo's Bizarre Adventure (and I'm reading the manga right now) I love the poker scene, that was something Kaito would do pull off.

Kokoro Connect doesn't have the greatest cast of characters or anything, but they're certainly more memorable than the true tears cast or even worse the tari tari cast, literally all of the problems you listed get addressed and dealt with in some way, albeit not the best way, it's weird that Yui somehow comes out the most developedranger wrote: Kokoro Connect is so bad though - it's literally forced drama (a weird alien-like creature puts kids in ridiculous scenarios). also unless you haven't updated your mal, you haven't finished the show http://myanimelist.net/anime/16001/Koko ... hi_Random/
and true tears was utter garbage, they wasted the entire first 3/4 of the series just to throw it all away for the remaining 1/4, it was a complete waste of time, characters were one dimensional crap and the entire show was just sleep inducing, it really is a perfect example of how awful PA Works used to be, hell Iroha is the only really great show they've ever done

How were the characters were 1-dimensional? Hiromi was pretty developed IMO, had to lock away her feelings, and you could see how her parent's death and shinichiro's mom influenced her (the jealousy part). Noe was also. I don't get why so many people dislike it, i thought the last 1/4 was pretty good.Vylash wrote:Kokoro Connect doesn't have the greatest cast of characters or anything, but they're certainly more memorable than the true tears cast or even worse the tari tari cast, literally all of the problems you listed get addressed and dealt with in some way, albeit not the best way, it's weird that Yui somehow comes out the most developedranger wrote: Kokoro Connect is so bad though - it's literally forced drama (a weird alien-like creature puts kids in ridiculous scenarios). My main issue with KokoroConnect was that I disliked pretty much the entire cast, and the main plot of the show I felt was forced and stupid; any scene with the villain guy just seemed so fake and out of place, with his monotone voice and how everyone was so dead-lock serious. It didn't feel real or realistic, which IMO is pretty important for a friendship like series such as Kokoro Connect or Anohana. Not in sense that it was supernatural so it's not real, but the feelings that came out of all the characters was like WTF, calm down. The forced drama was just ugh.
I literally can't say anything good about the entire Kokoro Connect cast, sans Inaba. Inaba is perfect, but everyone else can go screw themselves, i hate them all.
You thought Tari Tari wasn't memorable? I dunno what you're talking about, Sakai Wakana? Holy shit her suffering was delicious, I just want to hug her. Sawa's sawas? A busty horse-rider? Badminton boy and motha-fuckin Weiss? And of course, the dancing loli chick? I loved Tari Tari.
