I think the parents of these children need to be more responsible. Instead of monitoring their children they try to censor the world... It's just lazy...

people are way over reacting I think to what this bill is aimed at, like the arizona law, this is aimed at loli-con, and hard core lolicon at that.

I dont see how its related, they are restricting minors from buying certaint manga. It annoys me so much, just because I am under 18 the goverment feels we shouldnt have rights.

Is there actually a risk for DC ? Because I read somewhere that even Doraemon, the ultimate kids manga/show, had scenes which could be considered inappropriate.

Shoot...Let's hope that Conan's popularity (even if Doraemon is about twice as popular...) and the fact that it was used to promote the law in the past will help it get through all this.

I don't see much problems with conan, but Hayate is going to be effected. T_T I really don't want this to pass.

We need to give reasons to defend our beloved manga, anime and games.
No problem with pantsu by me, but argue on the basis that pantsu manga, and fanservice in general shouldn't be treated as some kind of harmful content like the recent law suggests. They aren't doing any harm to the youths nor are always a cheap trick to attract audiance.
Argue that for example Death Note does not promote violence but in fact it deals with a large number of social issues. Because it actually does. That's why it faced worldwide controversy.

Ya I honestly can't think of much of a argument atm, except that its just 2D drawings and its not like we are looking at actual people doing sexual things.

I understand the problem they have ... like affecting the youth and all....
BUT!!!! that isn't a reason to ban stuff from TV or from stores.
Somehow they (the producers) will find a way around it because it's only banned in Tokyo not in other areas

So maybe there is a light at the end of the tunnel.
I just wait and lean back. SnOF is done and Oreimo is over so all I have to do is to wait for new animes and watch that new Law they set up. Sure late night animes in Tokyo are screwed and you will only find that stuff in the adult corner but hey. At least you're able to get it

The ban from TV is the hardest thing they could do. I would have prefered better restriction when to air and stuff...
Now we have to wait and see.
