Love the style of the first season, thought it went downhill a bit after that. Some cool scenes, but I like the lighthearted feel of the first 25 episodes a lot more than the grimness of the Sensui saga. It was as though the show tried to become something it wasn't.

The Dark Tournament was okay, but its placement made the third season look completely insignificant. That's a pretty big deal to me, especially when they ship off immediately afterwards and suddenly become three of the most powerful demons in the freakin' universe--he was a damn middle school kid.

This is basically my feelings towards it, too.  I loved the beginning, Dark Tournament was good but started to get a little too shounen in the power up department, but it still kind of made sense.  Sensui's arc was freaking stupid as hell.  The final tournament felt stupid but slightly better than Sensui.

I like the manga ending more than the anime one.  It wasn't THAT much better, but it sort of fleshed things out a little more and had one final fun adventure similar to the old episodes.  Also, Genkai took over Puu again.

I liked it although the people here changed there name. Although i hate shows with change names. Specially DC on Funimation it kinda ruin it... Beeh...
Well my fave is the Killua-like guy who wore all black i dont know the Japanse name...

Secondly, did everyone watch it dubbed?  I didn't get a chance to watch the original, because I saw it on TV most of the time, then finished it on the internet.  I thought the dub was well done, the 4 main characters' voices are all good.

It was dubbed. I watched a few missed episodes subbed when I was away. Both were great.

I watched it dubbed. It's one of the rare series where I prefer the english version.

Yep, dubbed. Kuwabara's is the only Chris Sabat voice I can stand outside of DBZ.  ::)

Besides, Jerry Jewell is in it! And he plays with a loaded deck.

I got started via the dub, as well, back when [adult swim] was awesome. This was probably one of the earliest anime I ever got really into. It was a great show... however I admit that I really didn't watch much past the Suzaku arc. Jerry Jewell played that role to perfection, I SO wanted to see that guy get his damn teeth kicked in, same for that stupid bird that hung around with him (I was very surprised when I learned that Kara Edwards was that bird... I forgot its name... ^^')

I don't know what happened, but after that I just stopped watching, and I never really got around to watching the rest of the show. And I have the complete show on DVD anyway, so I should really get started on finishing it. When I watched, Kuwabura was probably my favorite character. I'm not usually a fan of Chris Sabat's Vegeta-style voices, but I thought it fit pretty well with Kuwabura. Not to rip on Sabat, whom I think gets bashed a lot more than he really should (Come on, you meant to tell me Brian Drummond did a better job on Vegeta?!)

Oh, and I love the first OP/ED in English. They're the only ones I watch before and after every episode.

Agreed, those songs were actually really catchy.

I know, right? I hate hardcore Ocean Group fans, because they really do put out some of the worst dubs I've ever heard (see: All the Gundams, Death Note, Black Lagoon).

This is also why I'm so glad Funimation re-dubbed the early Dragon Ball Z stuff, because the original early DBZ is really, REALLY bad... like almost painfully bad.

I suprised myself when I watched this series all the way through...and liked it....

I usually hate battle shows like that, but for some reason, I just couldn't stop watching it.

Kurama is my favorite character. Especially when he's in his demon form. He is such a fox! Literally! XD

I haven't watched a lot of the anime, I got into it as a manga. I really liked the storyline at first, even if the artwork was kinda rubbish. I think it peaked in the Dark Tournament. Awesome artwork, awesome story, awesome battles... and Kurama back in his true and utterly sexilicious fox form ♥ The story kinda started falling apart after that, though, IMO... they got back to the relentless tournament-style, even for arcs where it really wasn't necessary, and I don't really like the later artwork much either. The Dark Tournament was the best...
