My memory is a bit hazy when it comes to Death Note. (especially the second half) I believe it's because I watched it raw. Sometimes things don't sink in unless I read it a couple times.
I could just edit out the second half of my post, though I would have to ask you to do the same...

Well, the contest is probably done but not closing this one yet... you can still vote...
@Soreiyu
Well that's one of the million reason why these shows are one of the best... It's you who's gonna decide who's the antagonist and protagonist.... It will give you questions such as Is Killing really bad??? What could i do in evil if you have no chance in beating them if you're not an evil??? But in the end of the day.... No one is going to be murderer just to cleanse the world? even the number 1 Light fan... Also L isn't that evil in some interpretation as he's just doing those kind of shits for getting rid of greater evil(note: that its there execution time )... Just like Code Geass do...

That's pretty much what I was saying in my original edited post. It's good to have a story that makes you think. Most anime now a days are very straightforward. You already know how they will end before even watching them... I like surprises and plot twists. *kind of craves more original shows*
I'm sure that CG and DN became popular because they are a bit above today's standard anime story wise at least.

In life, you can't edit these parts out but...do you really care what some random people (who you will probably never meet) in a forum of fansubbing of a japanese cartoon think of you?Soreiyu wrote: So that I don't sound like a dumbass... -_-

Hey, I liked your original post.Soreiyu wrote: That's pretty much what I was saying in my original edited post. It's good to have a story that makes you think. It's true, though--anyone who just supports Light because he's on-screen more than anyone else in the first few minutes is walking into this anime as other animes expect you to. I can understand Ocelot not accepting that Death Note is a bit more mindful of its dynamics if that's how he came into it.
