Re: Dexter (the serial killer, not the kiddies show)
I couldn't care when watching season 3 so I gave up on the series. It's refreshing considering how long I've tolerated some frustrating series. And really, the end of season 1 and all of season 2 just felt like they were throwing in every single interesting plot point already, so I don't care about anything else? Especially the end of season 2, which just seemed like a waste of characters. Reminds me of why I tend to hate character deaths, it gets rid of so many interesting stories and even at best, they introduce new characters who take even longer for anyone to care about who do the exact same thing.

Big mistake, considering season 4 of Dexter is one of the best seasons of any TV show ever made. No joke. Watch through S3 and hit up S4 and you'll love it.kkslider5552000 wrote: I couldn't care when watching season 3 so I gave up on the series.

I've heard. Still don't care so...ok? I mean I probably will get there someday, but I have no interest in going back to the series anytime soon. Even ignoring my minimal interest in non-animated shows anymore, I still haven't started watching highly acclaimed newer shows like Game of Thrones or Breaking Bad.Jd- wrote:Big mistake, considering season 4 of Dexter is one of the best seasons of any TV show ever made. I've not seen Game of Thrones, but Breaking Bad and Homeland are my tops that are on right now. I think you would enjoy Breaking Bad, probably. I don't really know your tastes but I also don't really know anyone who dislikes it, so unless you come in hatin', there's not a lot to dislike. It's all on Netflix apart from the latest season as far as I know, too, so that's always a plus.kkslider5552000 wrote: I've heard. Still don't care so...ok? Whoever watched Ep 6 of Dexter knows now that i, like cyclops, was right. Dex and Hannah did end up doing the deed.

well yeah, they made it pretty apparent that they were gonna get together with the whole "dexter's hand shakes while takin DNA" thing, the show isn't gonna bother setting something like that up if they're not gonna use it.

Re: Dexter (the serial killer, not the kiddies show)
Just watched the latest episode.
I wonder if Deb will be able to resolve the matter with La Guerta XD
There has to be a way out of this.
Even thought S8 is going to be the last season of Dexter it has to be a big ending. Otherwise I am disappointed!!

I keep going back and forth if I want it to end well for Dexter. Like on one hand he sometimes seems like a ruthless monster who should get caught. Other times he seems sympathetic. Overall I keep hoping for him to find a way to "get over" the whole needing to kill thing more often then not, though I expect it to end badly for him lol.

Re: Dexter (the serial killer, not the kiddies show)
tbh, I feel like the only way the show can have a good conclusion is if Dex gets thrown behind bars/killed/something else. Even in his own story he'll always be a loose end as long as he's free, because his method of dealing with problems is by creating more and covering them up. So, as long as he exists, he'll never be able to say "everything is over and I am free from the police forever" unless some deus ex machina stuff is pulled.ddrober2003 wrote: I keep going back and forth if I want it to end well for Dexter. also, the entire series, he's been a protagonist who has always asked himself (through Harry) "are you really any different from these people you kill, are you less evil?", and it would kind of be lame to not have any sort of development and have it end with "yeah I'm fine the way I am!"

Re: Dexter (the serial killer, not the kiddies show)
The latest episode was awesome...... Especially the lovemaking on the kill table. HOT!! The chemistry betw Dexter and Hannah is great... though the end of the episode leads me to believe that either one of the women in dexter's life will die. I hope it's deb. She's getting on my nerves. And Yvonne's easier on the eyes. And "sometime life adds" (hopefully) is gonna have its implications. And the Laguerta subplot is ever developing. I hope she dies too..... though Dexter will most probably be outed by the end of this season.

Re: Dexter (the serial killer, not the kiddies show)
Damn, Laguerta got there. Didnt expect it to happen so soon. JC's performance was AWESOME, even if the subject came off as gross. And Isaac's description of love being "inconvenient" = "Hannah" and "inappropriate" = deb, was awesome. Hannah's becomin a bit cliche... hope the next ep shows her kicking ass. I really hoped Hannah would meet Astor and cody... I guess that will come later.
