So nine people wake up on a sinking ship.
So nine people are told by this guy:

"You have nine hours to get off this sinking ship or die."
Catch is that they have to pass through eight numbered doors and the ninth numbered door will have the exit.
So nine people have nine hours to get off a sinking ship by finding the ninth door. Not bad, not the end of the world until they notice there is a watch strapped to their wrist with a number on it and a bomb inside their stomach.
So nine people on a sinking ship with nine watches and nine bombs have nine hours to find nine combination of their numbers to get past nine numbered doors.
Oh and by the way, creepy mask guy says that
only a minimum of three and a maximum of five people can pass one door. Break this rule and you go boom. So nine people have nine hours to find an exit that only five of them can use to escape...and there might be a serial killer among them.
Now what will you do?
Will you succumb to the madness or will you be the voice of reason?
Regardless, you have to use your deduction powers to unravel this trap while figuring out who's the mask man, why he chose you, and who is the one killing.

Since your post say a max of five can enter a door does that mean four must die as they can not enter the ninth door and still only have five max per door, or is there another way out for those four?

I'm guessing that either means the guy doesn't expect a lot of people to survive or he wants them to kill each other.

Oh, this game. I haven’t played it, but I read about it in one of my brother’s video game magazines.

The Nonary Game
Players must advance through the ship by taking the digital root of their proposed group and having it match a door they wish to enter.
Example:
Door 5 lies in front of you and you wish to enter it to advance. A group made up of the persons wearing the number 7,1,6 may enter that door as 7+1+6=14. 1+4=5
This is only but one combination possible, so if you want to be one of the survivors, try to be very "active" in the "discussions".

Requirements:
- Each player has a digital watch with a number ranging from 1 to 9 attached to their wrist.
- Each player has a bomb inside of them.
- Each player is on a sinking ship and are aware they will die in nine hours if they remain on the ship
Rules:
- Only a minimum of three people but a maximum of five people can enter one door.
- You must verify your number on the scanner next to the door called the "RED" by placing your hand on it.
- The digital root of your group must match the number painted on the door or it will not open.
- You have nine seconds to enter the open door. Once inside, an eighty-one second timer begins. You must find the "DEAD" to stop the timer on your watch. All that verified outside the door must verify at the "DEAD" inside the door. Even if one person fails to do so, everyone inside the door goes boom.

I can't answer that without going into the events that occur in the game, which ruins the game. You have to play this game to enjoy it.
...Now if there was a way to host some version of this game here on DTCP....

Jd-’s already hosting an activity to get accounts deleted, maybe if you ask him nicely he’ll host another.

I'll have to put in a memo with him then. Now all that is left is to figure out who will be the first to go insane and start killing everyone.
