I like a lot of different types of music, especially scores/soundtracks/OST's from video games and movies. They make good writing music since it's dynamic enough not to be boring, but also not too distracting since the music is meant to really just facilitate the atmosphere.

Recently, commercials have been pumping out some really awesome and amazing tunes. What really gets me is when the songs are made specifically for the commercial and/or aren't made publicly available. That makes me teh sad.

As for myself, mainly form each anime I´ve seen, plus Star Wars OST, LOTR OST, The Godfather OST, Indiana Jones ost AND SOME MORE.

The Chrono Cross soundtrack is awesome. Has probably my favorite song ever (Track 7, on disc 1). Most of the FF games have good soundtracks, though the quality is highest from VI-VIII. My favorite VGM soundtrack, however (not quite sure if this counts) is 'Motoi Sakuraba Live Concert "Star Ocean & Valkyrie Profile" (CD & DVD)' a sweet live performance by Sakuraba of some of the best songs from the two mentioned series.

Also a big fan of the LoTR soundtrack, though that is a rather common feeling to be sure.

I used to really enjoy the Final Fantasy music, but I've never gotten full soundtracks. I've only picked up a few songs here and there.

Gosh! I love Chrono Trigger and Chrono Cross, CC must have been the first game I ever beat when I was like 12 or 13 lmfao. The CT soundtrack has so many great songs, I can't really choose one. I think my favorites are Blue Skies Over Guardia, Far Promise, The Day the World Revived and Wind Scene.

*both Evangelion and Bleach BGM/OST are composed by Shiro Sagisu -> he's really good in getting the viewer into the mood

I just recently got music from this game on the Playstation Network. It's really soothing, very ambient and calming.

You know, I've been tempted to watch Rebuild of Evangelion since I watched the original. But the show was depressing as hell and strange so I don't know lol. Maybe...one day...

I just listened to the song. It's really nice.

Is all/most the Gothic 3 OST like this? If that's the case, I gotta get it, even if I've never played the game lol.
