Beyond Good and Evil is a 2003 "action-adventure" game published by Ubisoft, directed by Michel Ancel, the creator of the Rayman franchise. It was released on the PS2, Xbox and Gamecube. Despite getting critical acclaim, the game sold rather poorly at release, blamed largely on being released during the holiday season and competing with bigger titles (including Ubisoft's own Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time). Despite that, it gathered a large cult following as time went on, eventually being re-released in HD on the Xbox 360 and PS3.
A sequel to Beyond Good and Evil was unveiled in 2008 with a single teaser trailer. Despite that though, the game has barely been seen since that time, despite consistent confirmation that the game is being worked on. The current rumor of which is that Beyond Good and Evil 2 will be funded by Nintendo to be released on the NX.
This video Let's Play will have me and Mangaluva doing post-commentary. I've played through the game a number of times, she has barely seen anything about it at all. Fun.
