If the internet collapsed this moment, all video stores exploded, cable and ota services vanished, and you were left without anime, movies, tv shows, etc from the outside world. How long could you last with what you have saved on discs and hard drives?

Just curious if anyone here is a avi/mpeg/dvd/bluray horder/personal librarian like myself.  I ask because several people have described their collections of DC and seem to be pretty organized.  If this sounds like you, what kind of stock do you archive in your collections?  What is your preferences on storage?  How do you prefer to acquire new stuff?  This can be about your DVD collection that you spent hours in Walmart selecting the perfect independent films to round out your over saturated romantic comedy or die hard action film collection.  This can be about anime that is dub or sub.  Heck, this can be about bootleg (insert #)mm films you stole from your local theater when you were 13 because your town didn't have a decent after school program (providing the statute of limitations has run out or you're protected by double jeopardy).

i have been meaning to join the forumns for a while, but then i felt like i would post to much and bug people.... Yes anyways i say 1 to 3 years for myself, though maybe more or less, depends how much i watched a day, and if you counted rewatching anime i have, and of course my daily life.

Yes my collection is about 1,900 gigabtyes with a standard 175 megs per epsiode. it equates to about 6000 episodes of anime or more. :D

Collection: 4 (75 cd cases) full of dvd discs, 3 200gig external drives. Average anime gathered monthly (1 to 2 series)
