I just started listening a few days ago... I'm up to episode 21. It's like Monty Python if H.P. Lovecraft was a Python. I bloody love it.

Also, episode 16 is my favourite just because Cecil is freaking adorable when he's flipping out over Carlos calling him. Seriously, painfully adorable. Even if time is slowing down in Night Vale.

And the fandom is amazing. My headcanon Cecil is possibly littleulvar's, and the art and other stuff the fandom does is brilliant IMO. I'm literally saving up posters about the hooded figures, dog park and the NRA bumper stickers at this point. Plus, no shipping wars. That is a seriously rare thing nowadays.

The source material itself is awesome though. It's got just the right mix of surrealism, humour with occasional creepiness and its format means your imagination an go wild with it.

I'd wager that there's no shipping wars because there's just not much to ship except Cecil x PERFECT CARLOS. Cecil's valley girl freakout in episode 16 was just the cutest thing in ever.

I also love how the fandom artists are a bit like Good Omens artists concerning Crowley and Aziraphale; there aren't any definitive images of the characters, but the fandom consensus is pretty solid and you can instantly recognize them in fanart.

I'm just sad that the website only has two t-shirts. I really want one with something about the dog park, or one of my favourite openers, "regret nothing. Until it is too late. Then REGRET EVERYTHING."

Telly x Cactus best pairing ever

I love this series, but I try not to listen to it on a marathon. I wait for a really dark and rainy night, pull the sheets over my head, then listen. Makes me feel like I live in Night Vale. XD One of my favorites is still A Story About You, but I haven't gotten past The Man in the Tan Jacket yet.

Sometimes it makes me fall asleep in the middle of an episode then waking up in the middle of another episode.
Spoiler:
One time, most recently, I was listening to the Tan Jacket episode then I fell asleep. When I woke up Cecil was crying. Apparently Carlos died. XD I quickly turned it off. Talk about spoilers. (I do know he didn't though.)

I listen to new episodes at lunchtime at work. I probably shouldn't. I think the unholy pterodactyl screeching noises I started making during episode 27 scared the customers. I couldn't help it, though.
Spoiler:
CARLOS KISSED CECIL
Also the new episode scared me shitless, and not in the usual surrealist horror-comedy way.

And some awesome person has donned cosplay and signed the entire first episode of Night Vale. Stuff like this makes me want to learn sign language, but this is ASL and I get the feeling if I tried to learn BSL and ASL I would get them mixed up really easily. Apparently there are a lot of similarities between the two, but there are enough differences that some people need interpreters to communicate between them so :/.

Anyway, check it out (click CC if you want subs) and if you know anyone hard of hearing who'd like to actually watch it instead of having to read the transcripts, link them in ^^.

Where was I here again? Oh, right, episode 8. Still a long way to go. My playlist is getting larger because of The Weather.

So, anyone read How To Survive Summer Vacation, by Tamika Flynn, Aged 12 3/4? It has spoilers for episode 28 and I should possibly warn for librarians :V.

(But seriously, anyone want to discuss the most recent WTNV developments?)

I am... extremely interested in these developments.
Spoiler:
Are there two Cecils? Is the Cecil we've been listening to this whole time some kind of changeling replacement for the real Cecil? IS THE MAN THAT CARLOS LOVES NOTHING BUT A LIE?! And what does Strex have to do with it? You know Strex has something to do with it, as a corporation they're even more sinister than Disney.
