So, Paul Rudd is Ant-Man, The Blizzard is coming to Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. (which is in serious trouble as viewership has been constantly dropping and it's getting bad reviews, i wouldn't hope for a second season), Baron Von Strucker will bridge Avengers 2 and Cap 2 and also bring the Maximoff siblings into play. Rhodey's in Avengers : Age of Ultron.... but poor Rogue's been cut from X:Men DOFP. And James Mangold is being hired for a third Wolverine movie (why did Fox do it.. i do not know. His other two films werent much good and didn't even earn much). Sinister Six and Venom movies commissioned to tie in to TASM universe.

Thor 3 set with Craig Kyle and THE GREAT Chris Yost writing. Captain America 3 gets its directors as Anthony and Joe Russo. MCU Live, a World Tour, Behind the scenes show will start August 13 in NYC. Fox commissioned a FF Vs. X-Men movie based on the late 1980s series (Probably a good idea, since those are the only two franchises FOX have in hand). FF will be like the Ultimate FF, ie no cosmic rays, probably. More N-zone.
A slow news month, i would say.

I just went to see The Winter Soldier, it was...it was...like most Marvel films, I want to just run and scream of happiness. They could have messed it up, but they didn't, I didn't see THAT plot twist coming! The pacing was amazing, everyone was amazing! ;D
Spoiler:
So much sass from Steve, it was beautiful, I want more!
I also want Fury's car, it was awesome!!
Nice little french swearing put in there, ahah, I don't think they've left that one in the french version!
Also, casting a white guy from Quebec and calling him algerian isn't going to work...I mean, have these dudes seen an algerian? and heard them speak french? His accent from Quebec was so strong I had trouble understanding him :o
At some point, when Steve kept being beaten by Bucky near the end, I couldn't help but imagine him being in a shonen, I mean, who else let themselves being beat up by their brainwashed best friend?

Sitwell was dirty, it's...horrible, poor Coulson...
Now there is no way that Stark doesn't know about Coulson, and I wish SHIELD was still standing for him to be angry at Fury!
So uh, yeah, I've just gone out of the cinema, I'm still hyper, don't mind me ::)

Don't forget to stay right until the end of the credits, there are 2 scenes in it!

Oh, man. Cap 2 was just delicious entertainment. Best Marvel sequel thus far or am I crazy? I've loved them all, but this one just felt like it hit every note without missing a single beat.
Spoiler:
Falcon, brilliant. The misdirection with the pilot stuff was excellent even if you knew what "Falcon" was. Anthony Mackie did a great job; really looking forward to future appearances.

Winter Soldier was maybe the best handled of the villains so far (not counting Loki, who is more of a semi-villain to me; a villain when he needs to be, more like). The costume designer for this movie deserves some sort of accolades because it was really just perfectly managed from start to finish.

Topical political-social commentary, brilliant. Very well written story with plenty of convincing action and plot points to go with it.

Doctor Strange reference, brilliant.

Great setup for Avengers 2 with Scarlet Witch and Quicksilver, too.
Yeah. It was really great. They knew exactly what kind of movie to make as a sequel to the original and didn't drop the ball at all despite how easy that would've been.

I do agree that the Winter solider was awesome and badass.....
Spoiler:
Is Cap's shield lost to the water?? :p Also, seems they have twisted the origins of the Twins..... Not mutants, but experiments. For Pietro and Wanda, it is understandable. (Wanda inherited the Mount's magic from her mother along with her mutant powers from Mags... And Quicksilver screwed himself up with the Terrigen mists, so its a bit of alteration of the source material.... Damn movie rights. Winter Solider is soon to replace Cap, i feel. Sam Wilson was well-done though was shown as much more of a sidekick than i would have liked.

Spoiler:
BUCKY BBY *rolling around in a giant puddle of emotional agony right now*

I also demand to know who thought that scene with Peggy with dementia was a good idea. I want their head on a goddamn pike.

Basically, though, I think Bucky was fantastically handled and the way Steve handled his conflict between fighting his friend and protecting people was excellent. It was so very, very Steve Rogers.

Natasha was also a beautiful queen as ever. I just think it's too bad they cut out all of her backstory with the Winter Soldier. Like, I know the movie was a good two hours anyway, and since they changed Winter Soldier's origins to be created by HYDRA rather than the KGB probably a lot of it couldn't be done anyway, but it's still too bad. But as she was, I love how much work we get on Natasha's character here, including her constantly trying to set Steve up and her finally facing the red in her ledger and not backing down. Wonderful woman.

I laughed way too much at the choice of Bible verse for Fury's grave. The path of the righteous man, motherfucker.

Can I get a hell yeah for some of the most incredible hand-to-hand fighting sequences I've ever seen onscreen?

Also I want to talk some more about Falcon's perfection. He immediately takes in Steve and Natasha even when they upfront tell him that everyone is trying to kill them and dives headfirst into fighting at their side because CAPTAIN AMERICA. Although, I don't think it was just because Steve's Captain America. The story of Bucky's death is in the Captain America exhibit, so it's probably common knowledge for anyone who knows about Captain America; Wilson knows that Steve genuinely knows that feel when it comes to losing your best friend, but has managed to get himself out there and fighting for what he believes in. That shit's inspirational, yo. Just look at how INSTANTANEOUSLY all the non-HYDRA members of SHIELD jumped into action when Steve told them what was going all.

All hail the Badass Pacifist who refused to launch the helicarriers even with a gun being held to his head. It didn't really help in the end, but he was still an unarmed tech saying "no" to a neo-Nazi with a gun. That takes a metric shitton of badass.

Also, somehow I didn't expect Sharon Carter to be so adorable. Emily VanCamp has an adorable face that somehow gets really intense and frightening really quickly when she's being badass. Four for you, casting agent. You go, casting agent.

Maria Hill also continues to be a beautiful human, I see. She and Fury must have amazing chess matches. I mean, Fury made himself a retinal scan FOR HIS DEAD EYE. Creepy but awesome.

Robert Redford was good, too. I mean, I hope you were supposed to clock that he was slimy and suspicious within five seconds of his introduction.

Do you know, I was almost disappointed that the female council member turned out to be Natasha in disguise. You still have to be pissed at these assholes for choosing to nuke New York, but at the same time its good to see them as people with firm resolve and their own reserves of badassery rather than mere paper-pushers who somehow get to command SHIELD.

Not that shit isn't deeply hyped up by the end, of course, with SHIELD being burned to ashes to kill the HYDRA infestation. Still, I feel like the people who turned against HYDRA are the people who are genuinely devoted to the ideals of protecting the earth and I hope they keep in touch.

Sitwell, though. YOU ASSHOLE. COULSON WOULD BE VERY DISAPPOINT. I HOPE THAT TRUCK HURT.

I feel like I could talk forever about how good this movie was but really I just need to watch it fifteen more times. Marvel Phase 2 seems really into screwing with the status quo and damaging you emotionally.

I enjoyed the stingers, too. I understand that they can't call Quicksilver and Scarlet Witch "mutants" or bring up Magneto because of licensing issues. Which is too bad because it would be cool to be able to bring mutants into the MCU. And Spiderman. I just hope Disney doesn't buy out Fox, though. They're clearly turning into an unstoppable media juggernaut as it is.
Also, the trailers for Days of Future Past and Guardians of the Galaxy have me very pumped up. I'm still not clear on how GotG fits into the rest of the MCU (I heard time travel was involved or something?) but I don't care. The raccoon and the tree dude look AWESOME.
