Eight . But okay, I have to say I didn't see that coming at all. Just, I'd kinda thought he wouldn't use any Doctor before Nine and I'm so glad now he did, even if it only turns out to be in this prequel.

It was quite awesome, and I was squee-ing during the whole episode, trying to find all the little easter eggs! It made me so happy!
Has anyone watched the after-party and the documentary after?
The documentary was really well done, I learned a lot about the "old" doctors and companions

The Five(ish) Doctors Reboot is on iPlayer as well (I presume it'll be somewhere on the internet for those outside if there UK, but I don't know where, sorry). It's basically the Classic Doctor actors playing themselves being annoyed at not being in the 50th and it has so many cameos it's unbelievable. Really amusing though.
*goes to watch behind the scenes ep*

I lost it at Tom Baker's cameo at the end. That was just... seeing my first and favorite old who doctor and my current favorite new who doctor interacting like that was just.... It was nearly too much for me to handle!
I enjoyed it but I AM SO ANGRY THAT ROSE WASN'T ACTUALLY IN IT YOU HAVE NO IDEA
Also I liked all the little clips of the older Doctors, but I just wish that they could have done something about the lineup where they're all looking at Gallifrey to make it look less like Matt, David and John were standing in the middle of a bunch of cardboard cutouts.
Not even going to try to figure out the massive plot hole that Moffat's written himself into this time and how the older Doctors know where to be and what to do. Really disappointed we didn't get to see John regenerate into Chris, as well.
BUT I MADE INHUMAN NOISES WHEN WE SAW PETER CAPALDI JUST EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE
And I squeed a little when Tom Baker showed up, as well.
The stuff between Ten and Eleven was great too, although I'm struggling to think of a less subtle dick joke that they could have possibly made.
I laughed until I cried at "The Five(ish) Doctors" as well. It was adorable.

Well, that didn't make much sense to me. Or rather, the way I got it it's full of gaping plot holes and so I'm just hoping I've misunderstood or missed something.
(If someone could explain how they interpreted it, in spoiler tags, please?)

- The Whole Crack in the Wall thingy were... the Time Lords asking if they could come back.
- Of course they attracted the whole Universe and when it was known that it were indeed the Time Lords, everybody was afraid of a new Time war again.
But in the end it were basicly only the Daleks, who were still attacking (who else awaiting the Doctors death.
Who was really out of lives after all. (So Doctor Ten did indeed waste one of his lives). But because of Clara's pleading to the crack aka the Time Lords, the Doctor got a full new regeneration cycle and blew the Daleks away.
Trensalore got never destroyed (of course), we got an hour full of a bit more drama then necessary and Capaldi at the end. And a final Karen Gillan cameo (Her hair is back, YEAH.).
