Re: Nintendo Wii U
I refuse to believe, no matter how awesome it was, that PS2s are still being made.
And current gen started way too early. Look at PS3's price tag, RRoDs, or Nintendo's failure to get 3rd party or real 1:1 movement until 2009. They all blatantly rushed the consoles (especially Microsoft).

Re: Nintendo Wii U
Not really, they beat Sony somehow. (is that still true?)
But they're dead now, happened quicker than you can say "Simulated Family".
I have no idea why I got a 360 now. It was a good idea in 2007 I think. But Sony is slowly getting their exclusives again. Too bad they still have like 90% the exact same games (which is probably the main reason Wii won, it's the only one with more than a few exclusives).

Re: Nintendo Wii U
Not really with Nintendo they have been releasing their consoles every 5 years so it makes sense they are releasing the new console next year

Re: Nintendo Wii U
wrong. This gen they so should have waited instead of constantly forcing people to get a rushed console every 5 years that'll cost an absurd amount of money for mediocre launch titles instead of just better games on current gen (see: recent DS titles vs. 3DS titles).
Yes, it is a tradition. So is Nintendo's crappy online, that doesn't make it a good thing.

Re: Nintendo Wii U
at least if they get no 3rd part titles Nintendo can make their own games that are at least entertaining unlike Sony and Microsoft who depend on 3rd party game makers. but between the three the i trust the least is Microsoft since it took them until last year to fix the red ring but when PN went down it only took a month and that takes more work than fixing a bug. i'm neutral on Sony since they get good games but with the hack trust went down but the same thing happened to Nintendo so i give them props for trying their best. and i doubt those hackers will even bother with Microsoft since Microsoft will most likely take themselves down unless they're the hackers since it's suspicious that two of the major console makers got hacked but the one with the weakest track record didn't.

Overall outside of Japan, yes. However, Sony's been beating them for the last two or so years.kkslider5552000 wrote: Not really, they beat Sony somehow. (is that still true?)

Re: Nintendo Wii U
Not really, more like Sony actually in the beginning - a mega expensive console that had a slim gaming library - I got my Xbox back in 06, it was very much worth it for the past 5 years, but yes I agree - If you need a new console now, I'd recommend the PS3 over the 360, because honestly, Microsoft's exclusives are either vanishing to Sony or are incredibly mediocre (Gears of War is their last true exclusive after halo pretty much died and Mass effect landed on PS3).Parkur wrote: Yeah, microoft rushed their console in order to get a 1 year head start on sony and nintendo, and it blew up in their faces
However, Xbox's online has always been pretty solid, which is why people still buy the damn thing today, despite obvious hardware power differences.

The good thing about xbox is almost everyone has one - meaning, I tend to play with people I know in real life for multiplayer - endless idiots are on Cod, L4D, or any other multiplayer game.kkslider5552000 wrote: yes but it has horrible excuses for human beings as 75% of its users.

Re: Nintendo Wii U
I find this rather humorous. What do they have to gain by keeping this all hush hush? If anything, it may put people off. The Wii had up to N64, so if the Wii U doesn't go one step beyond that, why bother getting rid of your Wii and losing all those VC games? I can see not announcing any specific titles, but to announce that you have no announcement regarding the mere ability to do so?Parkur wrote: http://wiiu.nintendolife.com/news/2011/ ... s_on_wii_u
