Nintendo 3DS anyone???

Update on it, Nintendo says that its probably going to be region locked........

Well, this sucks. =/ I hate how the DSI was region locked since I couldn't buy any Jap DS games... Now it's deja vu all over again, just with the 3DS...

Hmm... Good question... I have also wondered why Nintendo would even bother region locking... Heck, Sony didn't even region lock their PS3's! Anyways, maybe Nintendo wants to see how sales are in countries alone...? Without anyone in America help boost up the sales in Japan... I just don't know...XD.

I'm sure it has something to do with making sure each of their regional Nintendos gets enough money to keep solvent

Either that or they might want to see whether the US, or anywhere for that matter, is willing to buy and import a system pertaining to their country to play their games.

Kinect proved you don't need a great game at launch in order for it to sell. 3DS is continuing that trend apparently (yeah screw Street Fighter 4).

True plus the kinect has been somewhat hacked already to accept input from the wii as well, so someone was able to play call of duty with just the wiimote and the kinect, in a pseudo VR thing

Also, didn't Nintendo just release a new DS last summer? Why are they releasing so many new systems, so quickly?
I wonder how's Nintendo doing.

It might be because the technology's evolving much faster than it used to. New consoles are more frequent to avoid becoming obsolete.

Well to be fair, there hasn't been a new DS that plays new games since the original in 2004 (unless you count the occasional downloadable DSi game and that was 2009 I think). People are just dumb and don't know that.

Well, I counted the new "larger" DSi as a new console. Never mind. XD
Still, the only game I really like for DS is Pokemon.
