I've been reading where some people have mentioned the possibility of a sequel to Megaman Legends 2 in their game guides.  I had originally thought it had been canceled due to how long ago Megaman Legends 2 came out. I'm glad to hear that Megaman Legends 3 is in fact being released in the near future but I'm not able buy it right now. I don't own a 3DS and I don't have the money to buy a 3DS right now. I'd love to but I'm just not able to at this time.

So like, I just got platinum status on Club Nintendo for the year.
The deadline is in 2 days lol

This would be my second platinum, and I`ve also gotten a gold

Congrats! :D
Sherlock Holmes - When you have eliminated the impossible, whatever remains, however improbable, must be the truth?

Conan Edogawa - A Detective who uses his deductive powers  to corner a suspect and then does nothing to stop that suspect from committing suicide...is NO better than a murderer himself.

sounds good to me. Hopefully this will cause MGS3D sales to fail so we can have actual original content on 3DS someday.  :P

If you've never played MGS3, which from fans is regarded the best in the series, and you need a game for your 3DS, which you probably will, pick this game up - it is amazing.

No crazy shenanigans regarding the Patriots or Nanomachines, you don't need any prior knowledge of Metal Gear to understand what's going on.

I expect it to sell quite well actually

I'm now intrigued.

Mayhaps, depends on other games.

Stop kidding yourself, what other games?  You are going to get this.

MGS 3 is the prequel before all the crazy mishaps of MGS 1,2, and 4.  So it is technically "the first" game when it comes down to the story.  It's set in the 1960s during the Cold War, where you play as Naked Snake, which is who the famous Solid Snake (of Brawl fame) is cloned from.

Personally, and many other mgs fans agree, it's the best in the series.  Why?  Great gameplay, it was the first to introduce camouflage and CQC (close-quarter-combat).  Great environment, for it's time, it was pretty awesome to have a big ass jungle to sneak in with reacting AI guards and animals.  Which leads me to my next point : you can eat animals that you catch in the jungle.  This is really fun IMO, and is part of the game as you need to keep your stamina up (extra: in the Brawl codecs, when Snake is against Yoshi, he'll ask the Colonel if Yoshi is good to eat.  In the trailers, you can see a Yoshi figurine.  Will this mean..that Snake's dreams will be fufilled, and he can catch and eat a Yoshi??!)

And last but not least, the story.  I'm a hardcore MGS fan, but I know the story is completely out of wack at points.  MGS 1 was bearable, while MGS 2 is so confusing that people still don't know what exactly happened, as with MGS 4.  They have great stories, but have some really convoluted plots that you need to look up online to understand.  I had no trouble with that for MGS 3.  The cutscenes are bearable in this one, and is pretty clear.

I hope I sold this game to you.  You won't regret buying this.

I like the MGS series but it's not my favorite.

Ok, basically, I'm going to get a 3DS, Super Monkey Ball and Pilotwings Resort tomorrow. I'll be amazed if I'm able to get another game until the middle of August at least. Unless a game ends up being a huge dissappointment, there are some games I will be buying pretty much no matter what.

-Mario 3DS
-Mario Kart 3DS
-Star Fox 64
-Dead Island
-Skyrim
-Mass Effect 2 (20 bucks at Wal-Mart ftw!)
-Arkham City
-Assassin's Creed: Revelations
-Kirby Wii
-Kirby: Mass Attack
-Skyward Sword

There is a good possibility I might get this game. But, only one of these games I listed is a new IP, and I'll admit, too much Nintendo sequels. I very much enjoy supporting hidden gems lately (as quite a few are some of my favorite games in recent years) so that might come into play if one of them looks good enough. You should hope my brother is willing to buy video games other than Call of Duty again (he used to buy nearly all the 360 games, now he's a greedy jerk :( )

Dude don't get a 3DS now, it's definitely not worth it, aren't there no decent games out for it right now??

Wait till the Fall at the least, when the triple-A games start coming out.

I shall critique your list.

I probably can't sway you with the Nintendo games, so I'll skip those.  Dead Island...hmm, another zombie game?  The trailer looks sweet, but I mean, we haven't seen any gameplay have we?  Might be a generic FPS w/ zombies in it.

Skyrim, can't argue with that. ME2, you're late! (a gamer is never late mr slider, he arrives precise when he means to) Great game.  Arkham City, great game.  AC - I'm not a big fan of AC, I got AC II, wasn't feeling it, the story is totally wack.  Revelations doesn't look much different than Brotherhood, and I'm especially not happy w/ them releasing an AC every dang year.

1. I kinda need something to do over the summer that's on a handheld. At this point the best option for me is 3DS. Pilotwings will be fun, I love Super Monkey Ball. It'll be...just good enough to get I think. There isn't anything absolute must-have certainly but those games are better than decent.
2. I can't believe I forgot Kid Icarus. Will buy that. That game looks great, but not game of the year like some people probably think.
3. Dead Island is an open world zombie game. That alone is very interesting and most of what has been said about the gameplay sounds and looks really good. Might have good story elements too.
4. If I didn't enjoy Assassin's Creed 2 from beginning to end, I would probably agree. It's really just a series I've become a huge fan of, and so far the one game a year thing is far superior to any other series doing the same.

Someone needs to add Tales of the Abyss to their list.  Just sayin'.

Also, I thought the Snake in MGS3 was Snake Eater?  Is this the one where you fight Ocelot or not?  I don't really know much about the MGS franchise, but I could've sworn I at least had his name right.  :P

Im on my phone so ill give a brief explanation: Snake Eater is the name of the operation that Naked Snake takes on in the game.  The char you play is Naked Snake/Big Boss.  He was originally given the codename Snake first, later on he gives the codename to his cloned sons or are named after him by other operatives, Liquid, Solidus, and Solid.

You're right that you fight ocelot, but you fight ocelot in three games :p
