Re: I Don't Know What I'm Doing
Most of the remaining part got cut off because the episode was extra long. I do have another recording, but that is not a TS as it was recorded using Windows Media Center. I will have to convert it first though.
Even though this week's case (305 & 306) mentions "piss", "fart", and "gay", my question is what the heck is "bamitted"? I know what it is supposed to mean in context of the episode, but is that a proper English word? I cannot find the meaning of that word anywhere.

The heck is "bamitted"? I googled it and came out with nothing. So no, not an English word afaik.

It is not an english word. It however is an acronym for a few things, but obviously it wasn't used as one in this context.

There was one in an earlier episode where they subbed a dog's barking.

If it's a WTV file, that's basically the same thing as a TS, it'll do too.Conan-kun wrote:Most of the remaining part got cut off because the episode was extra long. Had a couple other unrelated tasks this week that took longer than I anticipated. Then, a minor computer glitch set be back a couple days after that.
Here is a screenshot from 307 with just another example of how there is nobody who edits these subs:

In other words it could mean, "We'refinished finished with you, so we're going to kill you."

Bet you never expected actor Hidekazu Akai to be mentioned in 309. Better yet, comics character Richie Rich is named in 309.

These guys sure like to change the character names. Even though you can clearly hear the name "Pisco" being said in 312, the subber decided to use "Visco" instead.

In 314, Kogoro uses good old-fashioned American slang in that the word "man" is used as an interjection.

Re: I Don't Know What I'm Doing
I know nothing about painting, so I guess the subber could somehow be correct. Anyway, does the term "Paris white" make sense in 315? Fansub used "whitewash" which at least seemed like a reasonable translation. I have my doubts on this one.

A google search seems to indicate it's another word for whitewash.

Re: I Don't Know What I'm Doing
While I do not know anything about painting, I do follow wrestling.
So I wonder how the translation of "Mutoh-san" got to be "Mr. Taketo" in 317? Is somebody named Mr. Taketo known for the "Shining Wizard"? Not that I know of. While you can say he has long passed his prime, The Great Muta is actually the current champion in Wrestle-1 (and its owner) so it is not like he is not a public figure anymore.
318 has a glitch in the episode where the opening music video shows an error message. This happened during multiple airings.

It's him: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Keiji_Mutoh
The "Mu" in Mutō can also be read "Take" (as in Naoko Takeuchi). It's an error of misread kanji.
ETA:
Episode 318 is 343 internationally, so it's a glitch in the source.
