My professor layton thread!

I've played it for about 2 hours. Good old Layton.
And this London Life thing is some kind of drug. So addictive.

It's not out here until November. Having no job yet, I'm shooting for it as a Christmas present.

the intro screen seems to show up fine for me (0.9.7 x86), and as for audio, there's popping but that's been there in most games I've used desmume for, so who knows :V

are you getting the rom from romulation?

I'm disappointed that Clive wasn't in the game, even though it was advertised that he was going to be. He's one of my favorite characters, and it's a shame that they're not bringing him back...

He is? Either he had a shorter jail sentence, or someone picking characters dun goofed. That said, is London Life definitely set after Lost Future?

just hit chapter 6. Sonoci disagrees but I feel like this game hands out huge amounts of picarats compared to the previous games.

I'm glad they thought about the other residents of the town before flooding it. Oh wait :V

also, they never mention just why Nessie (whatever its actual name was :V) knows it's gonna die so soon, but who knows, maybe it just got that beat up.

Also I like how Luke's like "let me be your assistant!" and Emmy looks at Layton like "well, looks like I'm being replaced". Though, I don't remember when she actually stops being his assistant because she's in Eternal Diva anyway, forget if she's gone by the end of that one or if that's part of Mask of Miracles.

also, because I haven't played it at all, what exactly is London Life like? From the description I heard it just sounds like Animal Crossing, Layton style :V

That's exactly what it is.

I have to say, Layton must be pretty happy in having a babe as her assistant, rather than a 7 year old boy.  But then again, this was in the past, so now with Luke he must be like "fml"

Now that I think about it, I've never seen a part in the game where Luke or Layton got physically hurt.
