The show is under a new format, with updates to old cases and a new host, Dennis Farina. Robert Stack died a few years ago (very tragic loss indeed
For those that are not familiar: Unsolved Mysteries was a TV series in the U.S. that aired from 1987 to 2002 on NBC, CBS, and Lifetime. Some 553 episodes of the show were produced and aired over that long timespan, which is impressive in its own right.
The show is basically a series of reenactments and interviews with those closest to the cases, which range from murders, disappearances, robberies, etc. all the way to BS like psychics, UFOs, Bigfoot, and other negligible bits. Of course, there's a big audience for the latter, and while I believe it all to be complete and utter bullshit, it at least kept the show on air for a long time.
While it was airing, Unsolved led to the closing of many, many cases that were featured on it, as viewers were able to call in with tips and leads on the cases. It was particularly thrilling to see a re-airing of an episode with the "UDPATE" segments appended.
Sorry for the rambling, I'm just excited... But also busy with Movie 12, and some college work. Anyone who can watch it tomorrow, you should!
